I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. And I don't want to get to the end, or to tomorrow, even, and realize that my life is a collection of meetings and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes. I want to eat cold tangerines and sing out loud in the car with the windows open and wear pink shoes and stay up all night laughing and paint my walls the exact color of the sky right now. I want to sleep hard on clean white sheets and throw parties and eat ripe tomatoes and read books so good they make me jump up and down, and I want my everyday to make God belly laugh, glad that he gave life to someone who loves the gift."

do i get to be on both blogs?!

Today was a really great day. First I got to have lunch at Paradise. That was super because the food is delicious and so are their cookies. Slight downside: red velvet cookies are disgusting there. After that I finally gave TJ his Valentine's Day cookies. It was good to see him for a few minutes. Best part of today was for sure spending so much time with Sarah Wright.

I love her. She is such a good listener and always knows just what to say. We got Chipotle together then went to North Central to watch Molls in her show choir performance. When we got there, we found out we were an hour early, so we left to grab some Huddles before the show. Since we were still early, we got front row seats!!! The performance was incredible.

After Molly's choir, Descants, a different choir called Counterpoints went on. They started out with a 'Welcome Home Boys!' sort of theme and lots of girls had signs to show their 'husbands' who were returning from war. This was our favorite:

Basically, Sarah, Molls, Chipotle, Huddles, Paradise Cafe, TJ, and show choir are all things that fill me with joy. So today was a pretty good day for me.

i love sitting and talking with you

So winter is a typically cold time of year. Obviously it has been cold for the past several months, so the chill outside should not come as a surprise to me, I guess. But for some reason, the past few days have had that sharp, icy cold that you feel all the way in your bones. Opening a door or getting out of the car is like a slap in the face. It's pretty terrible. Luckily, I was able to escape the cold today and sit in Paradise with Sarah Wright, who I love. I walked in and she was reading 'Gone', which is a fantastic book. I got a cookie, she got soup, and we both got Diet Coke of course. We talked about lots of things including family, Day Camp, bullies, and fainting. Every time I finish spending time with Sarah, I realize something-- I just love being with her. She's such a happy soul and a cheerful, lovely person. I really, sincerely enjoy being around her and she always easily brings joy into the conversation and my day. It's her birthday tomorrow-- so happy birthday Sarah! I love you a lot and I'm so happy to know you.

i like these people

The great thing about people from Camp Tecumseh is that pretty much all of them are wonderful, fantastic, super friendly people. So today I was very excited because I got to meet a whole bunch of NEW Camp people! I met Bridget, Annie, Julie, Sarah C., and Colleen. PLUS Molly, Sarah Wright, and Ana were there too! It was a blast having brunch with these lovely people at Le Peep this morning. We asked meal questions and laughed. Sarah and I drank Diet Coke as usual and I tried a delicious turkey sandwich with avocado slices on it.

After brunch we decided it would be great to eat some more so we headed down the road to Huddles-- a scrumptious frozen yogurt place. We found out that if we put some sauce on our yogurt we could get 20% off for having a 'sundae' on super bowl sunday! That was exciting. We talked about Harry Potter, Day Camp, and a new Huddles opening soon in Carmel! It was a blast.

Camp is a super special place to me. I'm almost like a different person there. I'm able to be a lot less serious and a lot more happy there. Everything is just better in that beautiful place- I love it. Camp is truly a joyful place. Likewise, all the people are joyful also. Whenever I get to see Camp people, I just overflow with happiness and good feelings. It's the best. I hope I can see these people more often and I can't wait to go back to Camp again this summer for some more joy and fun.
