The great thing about people from Camp Tecumseh is that pretty much all of them are wonderful, fantastic, super friendly people. So today I was very excited because I got to meet a whole bunch of NEW Camp people! I met Bridget, Annie, Julie, Sarah C., and Colleen. PLUS Molly, Sarah Wright, and Ana were there too! It was a blast having brunch with these lovely people at Le Peep this morning. We asked meal questions and laughed. Sarah and I drank Diet Coke as usual and I tried a delicious turkey sandwich with avocado slices on it.
After brunch we decided it would be great to eat some more so we headed down the road to Huddles-- a scrumptious frozen yogurt place. We found out that if we put some sauce on our yogurt we could get 20% off for having a 'sundae' on super bowl sunday! That was exciting. We talked about Harry Potter, Day Camp, and a new Huddles opening soon in Carmel! It was a blast.
Camp is a super special place to me. I'm almost like a different person there. I'm able to be a lot less serious and a lot more happy there. Everything is just better in that beautiful place- I love it. Camp is truly a joyful place. Likewise, all the people are joyful also. Whenever I get to see Camp people, I just overflow with happiness and good feelings. It's the best. I hope I can see these people more often and I can't wait to go back to Camp again this summer for some more joy and fun.
I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. And I don't want to get to the end, or to tomorrow, even, and realize that my life is a collection of meetings and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes. I want to eat cold tangerines and sing out loud in the car with the windows open and wear pink shoes and stay up all night laughing and paint my walls the exact color of the sky right now. I want to sleep hard on clean white sheets and throw parties and eat ripe tomatoes and read books so good they make me jump up and down, and I want my everyday to make God belly laugh, glad that he gave life to someone who loves the gift."
